Deposits In Memory Banks Of Our Children

While getting ready to write my first blog post, I came across a great quote from Charles R. Swindoll - "Each day of our lives we make deposits in the memory banks of our children".  This quote speaks to a guiding principle for the staff at Buckley Day Camp.  It is our job to make those deposits each day for each camper.  

Over the next few months, we invite you to check out this blog to see some of the plans for the upcoming summer, meet some of our new staff members, get reacquainted with our returning staff and get ready for your child to start the summer of 2013 in style!

We know that staff is the most important part of the camp experience.  Everything that happens at camp is based on the culture created by the staff.  For the summer of 2013, we are excited about combining the dedication and experience of returning staff members with the enthusiasm of our newest staff members.  

One new addition to camp for the summer of 2013 is the hiring of full-day team of Adventure Challenge staff. For those of you who have been lucky enough to swing from the swingshot or fly down the zipline, you know how amazing the Adventure facilities are at camp.  We feel that all campers should have the opportunity to experience Adventure, not just during Workshop times.  Our full-day Adventure team will get the chance to have each group participate weekly during Group Games, in addition to running three workshops.  

Our new (and returning) Adventure staff members will begin making those Adventure deposits in the memory banks of all of the campers at Buckley Day Camp.
